Torture is the deliberate, systematic, or wanton infliction of physical or mental suffering by one or more persons acting alone or on the orders of any other authority to force another person to yield information, to confess, or for any other reason.

TYPES OF TORTURE

A. PHYSICAL

Beating—by a fist, lathi, kick, whip, chain, belt, etc.

FFalanga—beating with rods or rolling on the feet

Finger-twisting, nail plucking, pinching the nail bed, etc.
