DEFINITION-
Sexual harassment in the workplace or learning environment can take many forms, including unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical behaviors of a sexual nature. It’s important to note that sexual harassment doesn’t always have to be explicitly about sexual behavior or directed at a specific individual. For example-Making negative comments about women as a group can be considered a form of sexual harassment. While teasing or offhand comments may not always be covered by sexual harassment laws, it’s important to recognize that these behaviors can still be distressing and have a harmful emotional impact.
CONTENTS OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT
• Making conditions of employment or advancement dependent on sexual favors, either explicitly or implicitly.

TYPE OF HARASSER
Martha Langelan describes four different classes of
Harassers-
• Predatory harasser:A person who derives sexual pleasure from humiliating others.
• Dominance harasser:“The most common type of person who engages in harassing behavior does so as an ego boost.”
• Strategic or territorial harassers: who seek to maintain the privilege in jobs or physical locations, for example, a man’s harassment of a female employee in a predominantly in male occupation.
• Street harasser: Another form of sexual harassment occurs in a public places by strangers. Street harassment that involves in the verbal and nonverbal behavior, often in sexual remarks, and comments on a physical appearance or a person’s presence in public.
