Scope of Forensic Medicine In third-world countries like Bangladesh, where the law and order situation is in seriously deteriorated condition, forensic medicine can help the state in various ways so that violations of human rights and corruption will be lessened.
To Health Service: It finds out the cause of death, so it plays an important role in vital statistics. As a result, respected discipline can take appropriate measures to treat, control or eradicate the disease.
To the Crime Investigation: It helps to find out the relation between offense, offended and offender so that the identification of criminals becomes easier.
Identification of a person: It establishes the exact individuality of a person, which is necessary for the following conditions: –
a.missing or absconded person
b.insane
c.in case of imposter
d.changing of newborn
death in a mass disaster etc.
Establishing Civil Rights: It confirms the age of a person that is a decisive factor in different conditions, such as –
